Guest Presenter: Dr. Gregory Allar
Dr. Allar is a Special Lecturer in the Center for International Programs at Oakland University where he teaches course on Russian culture and society. He is also a Research Associate with Center for Russian and East European Studies at the University of Michigan. Dr. Allar has lived, studied and worked in Russia. As President of Sister Cities of Flint he has organized and has led numerous civicand academic groups to Russia, and coordinated a trade mission to Russia. Last year Dr. Allar led a group of MBA students from the University of Michigan Flint to Russia. While in Russia the MBA students met with key business leaders from major international companies, for example, General Motors, Ford, Boeing, and JP Morgan to learn about the Russian marketplace.
He is currently working on an initiative to involve MBA students from US and Russian colleges and universities who will respond professionally to a real-world management problems posed by international companies which currently operate in Russia or are looking to expand into the Russian marketplace.
