DAVID A. OSTERNDORF

Towers Perrin Dave Osterndorf is the chief actuary of Towers Perrin’s Global Health and Welfare Practice and is located in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Dave has broad-based experience in the areas of benefit and compensation strategy and design, funding and financial management of retirement and employee welfare benefit programs. He has over a decade of experience consulting clients in the automotive industry specifically. His experience also includes extensive work in the area of flexible benefits and health care strategy. He serves as the firm’s issue leader and as a national resource to many Towers Perrin clients in the area of postretirement health care.

Dave has served as a faculty member and speaker for programs run by many organizations including the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, the ISCEBS and the Conference Board. He is also a frequent contributor to the business press and industry publications on topics of current interest.

Dave joined Towers Perrin in 1989, after working for another national employee benefits consulting firm. He had previously worked for Aetna Life & Casualty in their group insurance operations. Dave is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He received a B.S.-Honors degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
